After raising Rs 75 lakh in Shark Tank India 2, Inside FPV co-founder gives pitching advice
On Wednesday’s Shark Tank India 2, Inside FPV co-founders Oshi Kumari, Arth Chowdhary, and Devyant Bhardwaj received Rs 75 lakh for 15% ownership.

When three college students pitched their business, Inside FPV, on Shark Tank India Season 2, the “sharks” were impressed. The engineers from VIT Vellore showed off India’s first drone company for consumers and asked for Rs 75 lakh for 4% of their business. After a long pitch, four “sharks,” Peyush Bansal, Amit Jain, Aman Gupta, and Namita Thapar, gave them the money, but the co-founders, Oshi Kumari, Arth Chowdhary, and Devyant Bhardwaj, had to give them 15% of the company in return.
Arth told indianexpress.com that the crew tracked the feedback till late at night after the show aired. Their website had 27,000 views and several ‘very decent orders’ in three hours.
He expressed optimism that when more people see the show, sales would increase. The young businessman said that he and his team had always believed in the power of manifestation, which inspired them to fill out the Shark Tank India 2 forms. “Like many businesses, we wanted to be in the tank after watching the first season. However, we were unaware that we would only be present this year. My co-founder Devyant took the initiative, and despite a hiccup, we were able to submit our application barely a day before the deadline.”
Arth Chowdhary went on to say that although they were optimistic, they never expected four out of five’sharks’ to join them. He said that each’shark’ offers a unique set of skills that will benefit them in the long term. While Peyush and Aman were initially at the top of their priority list, after meeting with Amit, they realised how important he is to their company. “The pieces of advise and recommendations he gave us worked beautifully. “Right now, we’re pleased that all four of them trusted us,” he said.
The young entrepreneur said that their presentation lasted over two hours, with 45 minutes spent on discussion. He said that they were sent twice to discuss and make a choice. “Especially for young entrepreneurs like us, I want to say hojayega,” Arth stated when asked to provide some dos and don’ts for future pitchers (it will happen). Build a strong group and a sturdy pitch, and everything will be OK. Also, whatever happens, be confident. Conduct thorough study and confidently respond to all inquiries. Know your brand inside and out, and confront the sharks with optimism.”
“Also, only spew facts. ‘Hawa mein baat mat karna,’ as they say (don’t make up enormous figures). “Don’t feel scared, because sharks can look right through it,” he continued.
Arth Chowdhary presented the future roadmap, stating that they are focused on producing components locally and engaging with companies. He also said that they had received assistance from tech experts and lecturers. They have developed India’s first interactive 3D drone website and want to establish an ecosystem for drone users.
Shark Tank India 2 is now airing on Sony TV and streaming on Sony LIV. The show is anchored by comedian Rahul Dua, while six judges — often known as “sharks” – adorn the panel. Anupam Mittal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shaadi.com – People Group; Aman Gupta, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of boAt; Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals; Vineeta Singh, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SUGAR Cosmetics; Peyush Bansal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lenskart.com; and Amit Jain, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Car Dekho and InsuranceDekho.com.
