According to the firm’s report, average worker pay in India is expected to go up by 9.8 percent this year. It said that the biggest jumps were in high-tech, life sciences, and health care, all of which were more than 10%.
India has one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, so this could be a big step in the right direction for employees there to get salary that is on par with what they would get in the West.

According to the report, the 9.8% rise in India is higher than the 3.5% rise in Australia, 5.5% in China, 3.6% in Hong Kong, 7% in Indonesia, 4.5% in Korea, 5% in Malaysia, 3.8% in New Zealand, 5.5% in the Philippines, 4% in Singapore, 5% in Thailand, and 8% in Vietnam.
