EPFO’s E-passbook Facility Is Back Online. Here’s How To Check PF Balance

The EPFO addressed this in a response to users on Twitter after a number of subscribers raised concerns about the passbook service’s accessibility on the microblogging platform.

Additionally, several of the customers claimed that they had not received credit for the EPF interest. Several subscribers sometimes questioned the website’s software updates. The EPF interest credit was delayed, according to the Finance Ministry’s explanation in October of last year, because software was upgraded to take into account changes in the tax incidence.

It’s noteworthy that the EPFO gives members access to their balance online. The electronic passbook, or “e-passbook,” contains entries for each month’s subscriber and employer payments as well as pension expenditures. Any interest that has been credited to the beneficiary’s account is also included in the e-passbook.

Here’s How To Check PF Balance Online

  • Go to epfindia.gov.in, the official website of EPFO.
  • Go to the “Our Services” tab and pick the “for employees” option.
  • Click on the “Member Passbook” link in the “Services” section.
  • The page passbook.epfindia.gov.in for the EPF passbook will show up. Type in the username, which is also called a UAN, and the password.
  • After logging in, the details about the job in question can be chosen. For example, a person who has worked for four different organisations would have four different member IDs to choose from.
  • The EPF passbook can be seen after a member ID has been chosen. The passbook shows how much money is in the EPF account at any given time.
