Currently, Season 2 will be starring the popular faces from Season 1: Anupam Mittal (founder and CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group), Aman Gupta (co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of boAt), Namita Thapar (executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics) and Peyush Bansal (founder and CEO of Lenskart.com).

In 2006, Amit Jain started off with his brother by turning their garage into a makeshift office and launching GirnarSoft, a software outsourcing services company.

In 2008, both brothers visited the 2008 Auto Expo in New Delhi, following which they thought they can run a platform like CarDekho. According to Jain: “Our goal was to leverage technology and provide the best-in-class car buying or selling experience to the users. We set up a portal where people could come to find the right information and review cars before making the decision of buying.”

CarDekho was founded in 2008 and turned profitable seven years later. The company received $15 million in Series-A funding in 2013. Currently, the company is worth $1.2 billion.

Jain’s LinkedIn profile indicates that his new auto dealership group, CarDekho Group, operates more than 3,500 new car dealerships throughout India. There are over 20 markets where the used auto business operates, making it one of the fastest-growing players in the industry.
